American Model Arabian * Awards and Point System * |
POINT SYSTEM
As of 2004, you must provide 2 point sheets for each horse. One sheet includes
POS [Point Only Shows] and Nationals results *only*; the other is for "Outside Shows"
which includes points from all other shows (AMAHA and
otherwise). One copy will be provided, please use that as a master, making
copies from it as needed. Extras can be purchased from the point keeper (.10 per
copy plus a LSASE). If you have not entered many outside shows, you can list
2 horses on 1 page, but no more than 2, please, and please mark clearly where
the second horse's points begin. If your horse entered a class that is not
included in the AMAHA classlist, list it at the bottom or on the back of the
page. The pointkeeper will let you know if the class is not acceptable. Best
Name or Background classes are unacceptable, as the actual model is not the
main consideration.
If you have any questions, write the pointkeeper (if writing
via regular mail instead of email, please include a SASE.)
Point Sheets
The deadline for submitting points is January 31 of the following year
(i.e. points for the 2005 show year are due January 31, 2006).
| 1st = 10 points | 6th = 5 points | Grand/Reserve of Show 100/75 |

*This is for classes/shows that are considered National Championship Shows, or for Live Shows that name Top Tens. If no Ch/Res are named, the Top X award is still worth 25 points.
SHOW RATINGS:
ALL shows will count for points, but some shows will receive extra points.
These will be rated with a "x2", "x3", etc.
Currently rated shows are:
AMAHA POS, benefits, and newsletter benefits are x3
AMAHA Nationals are x5
LIVE SHOWS are x4
Other ARAB shows are x2
Any show judged by a licensed model Arabian judge will be worth 1 rating more
than normal -- for instance, a POS is x3; a POS judged by a licensed judge is
worth x4.
Other rated shows will be listed in the DHR.
ADD-ON POINTS: # in class = added points
These are added AFTER
the total is multiplied by rating:
| 11-19 = +1 | 40-49 = +4 | 70-79 = +7 | 100-299 = +10 | 20-29 = +2 | 50-59 = +5 | 80-89 = +8 | 300-999 = +15 | 30-39 = +3 | 60-69 = +6 | 90-99 = +9 | 1000+ = +20 |

award stages are:

Horses earning these awards will be allowed to advertise that they are an "AMAHA Elite Sire " etc.
LEGACY AWARD: Any owner having 3 or more horses having won the Superior Sire/Dam title will be awarded the Legacy Award for their contribution and promotion of Model Arabian Breeding. The award is given to the owner, rather than the model.
